Responsible for the overall administration of the Company’s workers’ compensation program. They will partner with the Director of Total Rewards, the Assistant Director of Benefits, Human Resources Managers, and employees’ supervisors in workers’ compensation claims management.
• Create, maintain, track, and oversee all workers’ compensation claims, including record-keeping requirements, following OSHA record-keeping and reporting guidelines.
• Review all injury reports through the workers’ compensation carrier’s reports and Supervisor Accident reports and follow up as necessary.
• Serve as a liaison and resource to employees, managers, medical providers, and the Company’s workers’ compensation carrier.
• Identify trends and opportunities to keep Vinfen employees safe and productive and share with Director of Total Rewards, further HR leadership.
• Process FMLA paperwork for applicable workers’ compensation leaves.
• Assist with coordinating the restricted/modified duty process with the appropriate HR Manager, properly document modifications
• Coordinate termination of employees who fail to return to work from their workers’ compensation leaves with the appropriate HR Manager and the employee’s supervisor.
• Notify Director of Total Rewards of any workers’ compensation reports of legal concern.
• Assist with calculating the Company’s DART rates, as needed.
• Assist with preparing OSHA 300A reports annually and ensure OSHA Summary of 300A Log is posted to Company’s intranet.
• Assist with completing and submitting the Bureau of Labor Statistics Survey of Occupational Illnesses and Injuries annually.
• Update and coordinate distribution of workers’ compensation posting Notice to Employees annually.
• Attend and participate in all workers’ compensation Claims Reviews.
• In collaboration with Director of Total Rewards, create and update workers’ compensation related forms, policies, and procedures, as necessary.
• Maintain currency on workers’ compensation as it pertains to OSHA standards and state/federal statutes and regulations.
• Perform other related duties, as required.

Typical Requirements:
Two to three years’ experience in administrative support in a workers’ compensation, HR, or benefits related role.
Preferred /Required Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Driving Requirements:
Driving is not required.
Physical Effort:
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time as needed.
