Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Salary: $66,680/ year
Sign on Bonus: $10,000 (1/3 upon completion of 30 days, 1/3 upon completion of 6 months, 1/3 upon completion of 1 year)
 
The Supported Independent Residential Director promotes the full integration and functioning of adults with mental health conditions to live successfully in the community. This position oversees the operation of a Supported Independent Environment site of 12-20 residents in individual units. The Program Director supervises residential staff, manages staffing, licensing, quality, and implementation of support interventions in Treatment Plans by residential staff following the direction of the Team Clinician. Facilitates successful and timely transitions to and from residential settings.
 

Responsibilities

The Supportive Independent Residential Program Director:
  • Oversees program serving 12-20 residents and manages staffing accordingly.
  • Ensures each unit meets licensing standards and all housing documentation is kept up to date.
  • Promotes engagement, housing permanency, community tenure, achievement of greater self sufficiency and successful completion of tenure at the residence for all PS at the site.
  • Manages SIE residential site's systems and procedures, including planning and implementing regulations and requirements, quality improvement initiatives, and intakes and discharges from residence.
  • Collaborates with Team's Housing Coordinator to facilitate successful and timely transitions to and from the group residential site.
  • Works with team to assess and identify next steps for PS when ready to move to more independent setting.
  • Creates a helping environment in the residence in which family, friends, and others important in the lives of PS are welcome, respected and valued.
  • Promotes teamwork between Team and GLE/SIE staff to provide all Treatment Plan interventions in and out of residence as needed.
  • Provides on-call coverage as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field required. In some cases, experience may be substituted for academic training.
  • Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner credential preferred.
  • A minimum of one year experience in progressively responsible human services functions is required. Management experience preferred. Experience working with people with psychiatric disability and/or co-occurring disorders is required.
  • Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport residents.
  • Preference is given to bilingual/bicultural applicants and applicants with lived experience of psychiatric conditions.
  • All candidates for this position must be a least 21 years of age and have held a valid US driver's license for at least 6 months and should be able to pass a CORI, driving record, employment reference check as well as a multi-state background check.
  • Candidates must be able to become CPR and First Aid certified within two weeks of hire and become MAP certified within defined timelines.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI, driving history, employment verification, and reference check

Pay Range

USD $66,680.00 - USD $66,680.00 /Yr.
