Overview

Vinfen is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership over assigned supplier invoices, including data entry, timely payment processing, and reporting. This person should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask.

  • Review, verify, and process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness
  • Assists with completing weekly payment runs as needed
  • Ensure proper accounting procedures and approvals are followed for the processing and payment of invoices.
  • Collaborate with Operations Departments to review, investigate, and resolve accounts payable inquiries on a timely basis.
  • Review and process employee expense reports through Concur
  • Communicate professionally and timely with external vendors regarding invoice status, payment inquiries, and issue resolution
  • Assists with maintaining up-to-date process documentation for audit and cross training purposes
  • Assists in monthly and year-end closings.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation; assists and supports Accounts Payable Manager to implement efficiencies where appropriate.
  • Collaborates with the accounting department on any special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, Associate's degree in a related field preferred.

 

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in full-cycle Accounts Payable or a related finance role, preferably in a high-volume environment, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
  • Must have strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel. Experience with PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced formulas is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference and employment verification background checks
