Reporting to the Director of EHR Operations, the EHR Trainer and Specialist will work closely with the EHR Team and program Leadership toward supporting Vinfen employees.The EHR Trainer and Specialist will assist in the creation and delivery of training materials, training plans, fixes, requests, and support issues. Assist with minor configuration, permission set up, and testing. Expected to work closely with all levels of staff to further understand and use Vinfen's EHRs
 
The EHR Trainer and Specialist will:
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of training materials, training plans, fixes, requests, and support issues.
  • Assist with minor configuration, permission set up, and testing.
  • Coordinates and conducts trainings with Vinfen staff and managers to ensure competency in using the EHR.
  • Supports and educates Program staff with the EHR and all associated workflows.
  • Assists in the development of teaching outlines and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conference meetings, and workshops.
  •  Confers with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring trainings and to understand the needs of diverse cohorts of learners.
  • Participates to develop technical training for new users.
  • Identifies common problems and suggest method for resolution.
  • Reviews vendor updates, evaluate relevance for, and impact to, Vinfen and provide summary to EHR Systems Analyst, as needed.
  • Perform other related duties, as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, training, or related field strongly preferred; High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum three years' experience in adult training and education or help desk support.
  • Experience delivering training on electronic health record systems for a large, geographically dispersed organization greatly preferred.
  • Demonstrated computer software and technology skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle. In some instances, experience may be substituted for academic training.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a multistate CORI, SORI, reference check, employment verification, education and credentialing background check
